Treppenhäuser im Jugendstil sind besonders freundlich und liebenswert, da die Farbigkeit (im Gegensatz zum Historismus) licht und hell ist. Stairwells in the Art Nouveau are particularly friendly and lovable as the color (as opposed to historicism) and bright light. Merkmale des Jugendstils sind florale Elemente, geschwungene Bänder und Lianen, lichte pastelle Farben in Kombination mit starken und dunklen Kontrastfarben. Characteristics of art nouveau, floral elements, curving bands and lianas, pastelle bright colors in combination with strong contrast and dark colors. Der Jugendstil ist das Ergebnis einer gezielten Suche einer Avantgarde nach neuem Design von ca. 1892 bis 1915. Oft wurde der Jugendstil schon zu seiner Zeit nicht konsequent umgesetzt und mit anderern Stilelementen vermischt. Mit Beginn des 1. Weltkrieg war der Jugendstil in Deutschland beendet.
