A flat-bottomed vessel is a sailing vessel in the sense of a flatboat built mainly for use in the Wattenmeer of the North Sea and the Channel. This type of ship has no barbell and has a shallow underwater boat. Therefore, these ships can easily fall dry in the tidal flats around the North Sea.
