Description

Die Halde Grosses Holz ist eine Abraumhalde des Bergbaus in Bergkamen. Sie wurde seit 1962 fuer die Lagerung von Abraum der Bergwerke Haus Aden und Monopol, die seit 1998 mit der Zeche Heinrich Robert zum Bergwerk Ost vereinigt wurde, angelegt. Die Halde dient heute als ein Panorama der Route Industriekultur und ist zum groesseren Teil bereits fuer die Oeffentlichkeit erschlossen. Neun blaeulich schimmernde Leuchttuerme aus Stahl und Plexilglas, die an die Form des Foerderturms des benachbarten Bergwerks Monopol erinnern sollen, dienen als kuenstlerische Gestaltungselemente und sind Teil eines Korridorparks, der die Halde gliedert und sie fuer Spaziergaenger und Radfahrer zugaengig macht.
