Das Parlamentsgebäude in dem die beiden Kammern des Österreichischen Parlaments tagen, wird umgangssprachlich auch als „das Parlament“ bezeichnet. Die Grundsteinlegung für das heutige, von Theophil von Hansen entworfene Parlamentsgebäude erfolgte am 2. September 1874, die erste Plenarsitzung fand neun Jahre später, am 4. Dezember 1883, statt. Der von Theophil Hansen entworfene Pallas-Athene-Brunnen vor dem Parlament wurde 1898 bis 1902 erbaut. Im Hintergrund befindet sich das Rathaus, Wien, Österreich, Europa | The Austrian Parliament Building (German: Parlament or Hohes Haus, formerly the Reichsratsgebäude) in Vienna is where the two Houses of the Parliament of Austria conduct their sittings. Theophil von Hansen designed the Parliament Building. The foundation stone was laid on 2 September 1874. The first plenary session took place nine years later, on 4 December 1883 instead. The Pallas Athena Fountain in front of Parliament was built from 1898 to 1902 and also designed by Theophil Hansen. In the background is the city hall, Vienna, Austria, Europe
